Tragic Loss: NFL Mourns Death of Legendary Offensive Lineman Larry Allen

Former Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers Star Dies at 52

A Towering Figure on and Off the Field

The professional football community is reeling from the sudden and tragic loss of Larry Allen, one of the most dominant offensive linemen to ever grace the gridiron. Born in Los Angeles, California on November 27, 1971, Allen stood an imposing 6'3" (191 cm) tall and weighed 325 pounds (147 kg) during his playing days.

Allen's incredible size and strength were matched by his exceptional athleticism. He started 10 games in his rookie season for the Dallas Cowboys and split time as a starter in his second year. In 1998, he cemented himself as a cornerstone of the Cowboys' championship team, starting all 16 games and earning his first Pro Bowl nod.

After 11 seasons with Dallas, Allen joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2006, where he continued to be a force to be reckoned with. He retired in 2009 after 14 seasons in the NFL, having been named to seven Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams.
