Bethel Park, Pennsylvania - The FBI has named 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the suspect in the attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at a rally in Warren, Ohio, where Trump was scheduled to speak.
Law enforcement officials said Crooks fired multiple times from an elevated position outside of the rally venue.
Secret Service personnel quickly responded and engaged Crooks, who was killed in the exchange.
The FBI is investigating the shooting as an assassination attempt.
