Lewiston Council Welcomes Visitors to Celebrate Art and Community
The Lewiston Art Festival, Lewiston's signature event, officially begins today and continues until Sunday, August 11th, 2024. Held at the picturesque Lewiston Village, the festival has been a staple of the community since 1966, attracting art enthusiasts and visitors from across Western New York and beyond.
This year's festival features the work of over 175 exceptional artists and fine crafters, showcasing a wide range of artistic styles and mediums. Visitors can expect to find paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, and much more, created by talented artisans from the region and beyond.
In addition to the visual arts, the festival also offers a vibrant lineup of musical performances and cultural experiences. Local musicians will provide live entertainment throughout the weekend, while Indigenous artists and performers will share their unique traditions and craftwork. Visitors can also explore the festival's Indigenous Experience, which features interactive workshops, demonstrations, and cultural performances.
The Lewiston Council, the festival's organizer, encourages the community to come together and celebrate this vibrant event. The festival will be open from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, August 10th, and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, August 11th. Admission is free and open to the public.
