Bumgarner makes first start since May 18
The Arizona Diamondbacks will try to snap a five-game losing streak when they open a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies on Friday night in Phoenix.
The Diamondbacks have lost nine of their last 10 games and are 14-24 since May 1.
Right-hander Madison Bumgarner (5-6, 3.72 ERA) will start for the Diamondbacks on Friday. Bumgarner, a four-time All-Star and 2014 World Series MVP, is making his first start since May 18. He missed his last start due to a non-COVID-19 illness.
The Rockies are 23-30 this season and have lost six of their last seven games.
Right-hander Antonio Senzatela (3-4, 4.95) will start for the Rockies on Friday. Senzatela has allowed eight runs in his last 12 innings.
